  • What does black tie wedding attire means?

If an invite calls for a black-tie dress code, your go-to formal suit just won’t cut it. You’ll certainly be expected to wear a tuxedo or dinner jacket & trouser pairing.

  • What Exactly Does A 'Cocktail' Wedding Dress Code Mean?

Cocktail attire is one of the most popular dress codes for a wedding, and for good reason.

A cocktail dress code is all about flair and the party. And, because it’s more laid back than other dress codes, that means you can loosen up your look… and you can start by losing the tie.

Feel free to lean into a wider range of colors—green and camel, or even pastel suits are all good, refreshing choices for cocktail wedding attire.

  • What is smart casual dress code for wedding as guest?

Though certainly elevated, a smart casual wedding dress code leaves room for interpretation. Think plain or patterned single-breasted jackets, dress trousers or chinos, knit or button-up, and casual shoes. Our smart casual wedding ethos is simple: relaxed refinement. Because smart casual wedding attire is less standardized, you’ll have more freedom to express yourself with your sartorial choices.

  • How should I best care for my 105 shades of black garments?

    SUITS

Where possible, try to rest and rotate your suits.

Hang your suit on a wide hanger. Choose a hanger that correctly supports the shoulders to ensure the suit maintains its shape.

Only dry clean your suit when absolutely necessary, and only do so at a premium, reputable dry cleaner. Dry cleaners often use harsh chemicals that can impact on the longevity of your suit and give it an unwanted shine.

For any small blemishes, spot clean your garment with a damp cloth. If your suit is looking a little tired, often a simple press will be more than sufficient.

Take care when putting your trousers on. To avoid ripping the hem, put your socks on first and carefully place your leg through the trouser.

    SHIRTS

Much like your suits, dry cleaning can be detrimental to the life of your shirts. The chemicals used when dry cleaning along with the pressing can wear the edges of the fabric and damage the buttons. Instead, cold machine or hand wash your shirts at a temperature less than 30 degrees.

    SHOES

The first rule of shoe care is not to wear the same pair of shoes every day of the week. Giving at least 24 hours rest allows the leather to relax and any moisture to evaporate. It is also essential to establish a regular care routine to keep your shoes looking their absolute best. This involves cleaning, conditioning and polishing. At a bare minimum, dedicate time to use a shoe brush to remove loose dirt from the exterior after each wear. It is worth investing in unvarnished cedar shoe trees for each pair of shoes you own to help absorb moisture and ensure the leather keeps its shape.
